The film is an impressive\, opulently designed fable with a surreal undertone exposing the fate of rebellious youth in an imaginary autocratic enclave. \nEAST OF NOON is the second feature of Hala Elkoussy. It premiered in 2024 at Quinzaine des Cinéastes in Cannes and had its Dutch premiere at IFFR.
